Eco Society India aim is to restore the urban ecosystems and bridge the gap between ecosystem and man in the urban environment and enable people to live a healthy and comfortable life. Eco-Society India is a registered non-profit, non political, non religious, voluntary and professional citizen group founded to sensitize and train the communities to protect and preserve the urban ecosystems. Eco-Society India conducts scientific inquiry in the above five thematic areas and motivate community participation through advocacy, guidance and action. To achieve the objectives we organize discussions, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, conferences, trainings, study circles, cultural, educational and philosophical forum in view of integral and inclusive development of the nation.

Honorary Advisor

Dr. S. Abdul Khader is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Biology & Plant Biotechnology at Presidency College (Autonomous), Chennai, and serves as an Advisor for Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest (TDEF) flora conservation. He has over 14 years of teaching experience and over 17 years of research experience in plant taxonomy and tree seed technology. His areas of specialisation include silviculture, tropical forest tree seed science and technology, plant taxonomy, and plant tissue culture.

He has discovered three new plant species and rediscovered one species (Torenia cordifolia) after 80 years. Dr. Khader has a total of 68 publications, including 14 national journal articles, 18 international journal articles, 32 conference/seminar publications, 2 books, and 2 articles.
