Mr.Darwin Annadurai
Mr.Darwin is the founder of Eco Society India and the Managing Trustee of this organization. He has done his M.Sc in Ecology and Environmental Sciences and M.tech in Environmental engineering and Management from Pondicherry Central University. He is an experienced researcher in Environmental pollution assessment, water and sediment pollution and has undertaken consulting services for Industrial and Government sectors. Due to his passion for nature, ecology and environmental protection, he founded this organization to promote and implement eco friendly development models among the communities leading to the formation of Eco society India.
Ms.Sangeetha Kathan
Ms.Sangeetha is the Treasurer of this organization. She has done her Masters in Social Work from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. She has vast experience in social work and implementation of social welfare schemes among the rural poor. Her major interest and focus is on alleviating poverty, development and formulation of Self help groups, Livelihood generation for local communities, and Training and Skill development of children’s from marginalized communities.
Mr.Rajendran Prabhakar
Mr.Rajendran is a social change activist and one of our founding members of Eco Society India. He is involved in social change movement for the past 25 years focusing on education, housing rights, land rights, clean air rights, social justice, gender justice and ecological justice of deprived communities. He is also a Trustee of Maarga Society working on the education of children from deprived communities.
Mr.Arivazhagan Rayan
Mr.Arivazhagan has done his Masters in Social work from Madurai Institute of Social Sciences during the year 1988 and has done a 2-year Diploma course on Rural development from Center for Research On New International Economic Order (CReNIEO). He has been working for the welfare of the deprived communities for the past 15 years focusing on their livelihood, educational and environmental rights. He has earlier worked as a Principal investigator for Livelihood generation projects of the marginalized communities sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. For the past 12 years, he has held the senior manager level position in national level non-profit organizations focusing on Palmyrah climbers, coastal communities, children and held senior consultant role for many action research studies and State alliance for educational rights.
